Banana Split
Hot Fudge
Cool ice cream
Whipped cream dream
Banana Split
We all love it
Banana Split
You've got to try it
Vanilla, chocolate, any taste
To delicious, to good to waste
Lick it, love it
Bite a chunk
Savor the yummy flavor!
Ice cream,
Cherry
Soooo not lean.
But it's got that creamy banana smack in between!
Banana split
We all love it!
Banana split
You've got to try it

Clocks

BONG.
BONG.
BONG.
Ringing every hour
They give me power
Because I know the time
I won't be late for the the doctor's office when I hear that chime!
Decorative or oriental
Modern or presidential
It doesn't matter what style
Because with clocks, I won't take a while!
This poem took too long to write.
I think I'll be up all night.
BONG.
BONG.
BONG.
Sunset
When the sun in the sky is low,
It lights the trees with a fiery glow.
It goes over the place where the rabbit hops,
And barely peeks over the hilltops.
It turns the duck pond a fiery red,
It reminds me of stories and what they said.
About the magical aura the sun sends,
As the autumnal day ends.
Banana Phone!

By Grace S. and Emma V.
Ring Ring Ring Ring
What's that sound?
Banana Phone!
You can't call anybody with it,
But that's okay!
Banana Phone's the easy way!
Yellow, shiny,
Like no other phone.
Got that lovable "ring ring ring" banana tone.
Dial those buttons,
Call your friends in France,
Make your Banana phone give a dance!
Always has great connection-
Oh, and did we mention?
Ring Ring Ring Ring

Bananas [Second Edition]

By Grace S. and Emma V.
The creamy inner filling-it’s the best part!
Mushy, squishy, yummy in my tummy,
Sweeter than a tart!
Bananas, bananas,
They’re my favorite treat!
Bananas, bananas,
Really fun to eat!
I peel away the thick yellow skin-
Come on, banana, let me in!
Bananas, Bananas
They’re so cool,
Bananas, Bananas,
Too cool for school!
Delicious and soft and smooth
We all start to groove!
Bananas, bananas,
They’re so rad!
Bananas, bananas
Best food I’ve ever had!

Fastness

by Caroline k.
As fast as…………
A jet plane zipping through the air,
A chameleon’s tongue flapping in and out,
A cheetah running through the dry grass,
A bird flying up in the sky,
A piece of food falling off the table,
A dog catching it before it hits the ground,
A Nascar racing around the track,
A horse in the Kentucky derby running all around

Earth

By Osker W.
Turning, turning round and round
A big blue ball that holds all the people and all the towns
So blue with a touch of green
Only from space the beauty is seen e
That man first encountered when he traveled to space
It’s turning gray and bleak
From gushing factories that rot an d reek
But there is help you see
Please reduce, recycle, and reuse
And earth’s beauty we will not loos e.
The Man on The Corner
Ice Cream!

Whenever I hear the tinkling bell
I feel super swell!
‘Cuz I know that I’ll have a great day
If I have Ice Cream, nothing can get in my way!
I love the sweet taste on my tongue
It makes me feel ever so young!
When it drips on the floor
It makes me cry and beg for more!
Best in Summer and Spring
If I have Ice Cream, I can do anything!

Night
By Oskar W.
When does the world hit the hay?
When does darkness engulf the day?
What time does a bird start to rest?
When are the bats senses put to the test?
When the night starts and the day animals are finishing their tasks

Bananas
By Gracie F.
Creamy, smooth, tasty,
You can’t be too hasty,
Yellowish-white,
You can eat it at night,
Squishy or firm,
And you won’t find a worm,
That’s a banana for you!

Dolphin
By: Izzy L
In the ocean down below
You can see a little glow
A silver glimmer
A playful splash
Then you hear a big loud crash
It jumps up, then goes under
Sometimes you start to wonder
Has it gone to get a snack?
Or will it ever be coming back?

Peace

By Luke H. and Jasmine W.
As peaceful as….
Humming birds humming calmly,
The wind softly blowing,
My silent home,
Swaying trees among the seas,
Lovely shiny stars,
And a cloudless sky,
The silent night,
A shiny ring,
My home sweet home all swept clean,
Smelling of marigolds and a sweet red rose
My comfy dream that snuggles up in my empty head

spring is coming
By Zoe S. and Oskar w.
Winter snow is down
Covering the town
A soft blanket wet and cold
A hot cocoa in my hand to hold
And when the time is right
Everything is bright
And April showers bring May flowers
